8th Living Knowledge Conference 2018

Location: Budapest, Hungary

The LK8 Conference is aimed at academics, practitioners, activists, social innovators, research funders, science educators and communicators, citizen scientists, policy makers, non-governmental organisations, artists, interested community groups and citizens. The last conference hosted more than 250 participants from 25 countries.

Among others the following questions are going to be discussed at the conference:

  • How to build on and enrich the public engagement in research practices (through RRI, Open Science, Open Innovation, Science Shops, citizen science, etc.)?
  • How to nurture the debate about the place and role of “society in science” / “science in society,” and how to encourage the systematic and ethical involvement of civil society actors and their societal concerns in research and innovation processes?
