New funding programme
"Creation of digital teaching and learning materials with citizen science methods"- Submit now!
On behalf of the Innovationsstiftung für Bildung (Innovation Foundation for Education), the OeAD-GmbH has announced a new funding programme "Creation of digital teaching and learning materials with citizen science methods".
The aim is to create innovative and practice-oriented digital teaching and learning materials that generate added value that would not be produced without the use of technical means. The citizen science approach (cooperation with learners, teachers or other specialized persons) contributes to the fact that the know-how of those people who work with digital teaching and learning materials is directly integrated into the development of the materials.
The first call for proposals of the funding programme supports projects that aim to revise existing teaching and learning materials on the online platform of the Eduthek with the support of learners and teachers. The final products must be available on the platform as Open Educational Resources (OER), under a free license.
The content of the teaching and learning materials should cover interdisciplinary topics such as mobility, migration, democracy, etc. By integrating the projects into the school environment, not only the innovative and practice-oriented teaching and learning materials are to be created, but also the conscious, selective, critical and targeted use of digital media in the classroom should be promoted.
Applications may be submitted by research institutions, schools, educational institutions, non-profit institutions and companies. Projects are funded up to a maximum of 25,000 euros per application, with a total amount of 200,000 euros available.
Only projects in which at least one educational institution is actively involved in the development of digital teaching and learning materials will be funded. The participation period of the projects (involvement of citizens) must take place in the second semester of the school year 2018/2019 . The maximum duration of the project is 12 months.
The language of this call is German, therefore all application documents are only available in German.
