Citizen Science Award

Almost 10,000 people from all over Austria have already taken part in the Citizen Science Awards 2015-2017. Following the great success of the last three years, the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) invited interested citizens - especially school classes - to participate in six research projects from 1 May to 30 June 2018.

Citizen Science Award-DAY

On 12 November 2018, the most dedicated citizen scientists will be awarded with the Citizen Science Awards 2018 by the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research.

During the day, the Center for Citizen Science invites citizen scientists, along with the research projects, to the Citizen Science Award Day.  From 10.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., the projects are organising interesting activities such as workshops,  guided tours and lectures for all participants who participated in the Citizen Science Award 2018.

The topics were diverse: looking for birds, photographing bumblebees, observing plants, collecting historical material such as photos or stories or formulating research questions regarding accident injuries.
